The two days 5th National Conference on “Recent Trends in Plant Biotechnology and Bioprospecting” was organized in the Vijayaraje Institute of Science and Management on 20-21 December 2018. Pro. S.L.Rao, Hon,ble Chancellor, Rajamata Vijayaraje Scindhia Krishi Vishwavidhyalaya, Gwalior,   Pro. (Smt.) Neelima Singh Chandel, Hon’ble Chancellor Kota University,Dr. Ashok Ahuja Chief Scientist of CSIR Triple IM Jammu, Dr. Shivpratap Singh, Chief Scientist and HOD ICAR, Pro. Avinash Tiwari, Deen, Life Science and Botany took participation in the Conference. The participants praised the rapid growth in the field of agriculture with the help of modern technology. On the occasion  Prof. S.L Rao in his address mentioned that in our country about 70 % population depend on agriculture and green revolution made tremendous growth in production of wheat, Rice and other products. Chairman of the Institute Dr. Sunil Kumar Singh Rathore welcomed the guest and stated that students may create new jobs by starting their business and start ups. The Organizing Secretary of the conference Pro. G. Tejowati informed that participants from China and Korea besides others from our country were also participated in the Conference. At last, Prizes for poster presentation and oral representation were also distributed to the participant students.
